iFC Signage and Flyer Attendee Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

Applies To: All Attendees at IndyFurCon

For Use By: IndyFurCon Panelists and Staff

This policy is intended to guide the usage of signs and flyers at IndyFurCon to help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and organized environment. 

1. Permitted Content 

Panelists are allowed to display signage, posters, and flyers that: 

  • Follow rating guidelines of PG or lower and are appropriate for general attendees
  • Promote or support a panelist’s theme, content, location, time, etc
  • Share social media handles, websites, or creative portfolios in context of a panel (ex. a linktree at the bottom of a poster largely advertising a specific panel) 
  • Include personal branding or merchandise promotions, if pre-approved by convention staff and in context of a panel 
  • Reinforce themes of inclusivity, creativity, and fandom celebration 

Prohibited content on materials includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Violent, graphic, or sexually explicit content 
  • Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing language or imagery 
  • Defamatory or targeted attacks toward any individual or group 
  • Political endorsements or religious messaging 
  • Unapproved commercial advertising or sales pitches 

2. Approved Locations and Materials for Display

NO SIGNAGE MAY BE AFFIXED TO ANY HOTEL SURFACES

Panelists may display signage only in:

  • Their assigned panel room, during their scheduled session only 
  • Any other location, only with prior written staff/director/chair approval 

Please use the following standards for safe and non-damaging displays: 

  • Acceptable mounting: EASELS ONLY. No signs are allowed on ANY hotel surfaces.
  • NO ADHESIVES, including painters tape, masking tape, or duct tape; pins, nails, or adherents that damage surfaces. 
  • Maximum poster size: 8.5″x11″ unless otherwise approved 
  • Materials must be removed by the panelist within 1 hour after their session ends. If you need a concession outside of this 1 hour window, please inform the Help Desk at the convention.

Note: Signage (or other media such as stickers, graffiti, etc) will be promptly removed or reported if found in unauthorized locations such as: 


3. Before Posting

Please follow these steps before posting your content at IndyFurCon:

  • Get Approval
    • Please email Marketing@indyfurcon.com up to a week before the convention.
    • Stop by the Help Desk at the convention.
    • Please contact the Help Desk at the convention if you have any questions or concerns about content that is already posted.
  • Mark Your Content
    • Please clearly write your name and badge number on the back of your sign in case staff need to contact you.
  • Post
    • Staff will assist in posting your flyer(s) or will direct you how and where to post. Be sure you are placing your signs/flyers with the correct materials and in the correct areas to avoid them being removed by staff.
